Released in August 1972, The Girl from Cincinnati was Bobbie’s final recording on the Capitol label. An accomplished slice of West Coast style 70’s rock, Bobbie brings all her pathos to bear on a story about a woman who has escaped to LA from small town middle America, and despite not hitting the big time, just can’t face giving up.  The track and B-side You and Me Together are both so strong, its amazing in hindsight that this single was not a hit.
