The Christmas Sound of Music is a festive compilation sponsored by B. F. Goodrich the American tire company and issued as a special limited edition on Capitol. The release features mostly country stars with the first side devoted exclusively to Glen Campbell. Side 2 is given over to The Lettermen, Sandler & Young, Ella Fitzgerald and Bobbie. Her renditions of Scarlett Ribbons and Away In A Manger are both beautifully realized.
